In 2018, the Harvest 5K run/walk raised close to $5,000 to help abused and neglected children, and also to teach adults English through 2 charities:
- The Fund to Benefit Children and Youth, which provides at-risk children in Lehigh and Northampton Counties with the beds, clothing, heating, and other bare necessities they cannot receive through traditional government resources. - The Literacy Center of the Lehigh Valley. dedicated to helping the people of the Lehigh Valley achieve the literacy and English language skills needed not only to succeed in today’s competitive world, but to live a happier, more fulfilled life. In 2017, the Harvest 5K run/walk raised about $3,000 to benefit Habitat of Humanity of the Lehigh Valley specifically a low income hardworking family with 7 young children who’s trying to build their home in Allentown, PA.
In 2016, the Harvest 5K Run/Walk raised over $3,000 to benefit Victory House of Lehigh Valley. For over 30 years, Victory House has been a recognized leader in providing local homeless veterans and homeless men with opportunities to transition to independent affordable housing and to begin new lives. Hope, compassion, dignity, and respect are paramount to attaining their mission.
In 2015, the First Annual Harvest 5K Run/Walk raised over $7,000 to benefit Allentown’s Central Elementary School.
